We met at university on a night out and instantly had a connection! Within a week, we were in a relationship, and we have been inseparable for 7 years. Around 2 years ago, Adam proposed in our first home together. It was such a surprise, and the whole living room was decorated with balloons and candles. From that moment, we could not wait to get started on planning our dream wedding day.

I have always dreamed of getting married in a castle and having a fairytale wedding. We also knew that getting married in South Wales, where I grew up, was so special for us. From seeing Hensol Castle online, I knew it was our venue even before I visited! It is so grand in appearance and very beautiful. Along with this, the space you can use on the big day is unmatched. The beautiful grounds, lake, all the stunning bedrooms, drawing rooms, courtyard, atrium and gorgeous wedding breakfast space were all incredible. Most importantly, we felt welcomed by the staff at Hensol Castle before we even secured our date. They answered all our questions so well, and we felt at ease booking our wedding date! Since then, they have been so attentive, and the attention to detail on our big day was more than we could have ever hoped and dreamed of!

On top of all the incredible spaces in Hensol Castle, my bridal party and I had the privilege of actually getting ready in the castle, too! The space was excellent, and the staff were so accommodating from the moment we arrived. I truly felt like a princess in a castle! On top of that, doing my first looks with my bridesmaid and my dad in the beautiful drawing rooms was such a fantastic experience. The pictures of the morning in the room were so wonderful, and I have many happy memories of being with my girls on the morning of my big day.

My one piece of advice is to always remember the reason you are getting married: that you love each other so dearly. This day is all about celebrating that love, and if you can focus on that on the big day, you will have the most magical day of your life.
